The original room was limited due to the head height, about half the room had been made into a cupboard as there was a difference in floor height possibly caused by changes on the ground floor of the property, we have stripped the roof and put in a padstone to support a steel that supports the remaining roof structure, the room has been completely stripped and a new dorma level with the existing ceiling height has been constructed, the dorma has a flat roof and will be clad in Cedar, internally the room has been insulated the floor has been leveled the new sound proofed double glazed window has been installed in keeping with the other windows in the property, the walls are plastered new skirting boards and architrave have been fitted, the electrician has moved the light to its new central position and there are new plug sockets within the room. The Dorma is now completed, the client has decorated and laid carpets, they now have a very useful room and all of the space can be used.
