Chilton Road, Bath

One of our current projects is a new extension in Bath
The project is to remove an existing extension and build a new L shaped extension using bath stone and cedar cladding on the ground floor and a timber frame cedar clad bathroom extension on the 1st floor.
There is no rear access to the property so all building supplies, equipment, scaffolding must go up 39 steps and through the front of the house and all spoil, rubble etc. must come down the same way.
The house is also having a new roof, with velux window, new fascia boards and alumasc guttering.
There are also drainage changes a new inspection chamber at the request of Wessex Water at the front of the property, one of the first tasks was to establish were the drainage run was, it was not were it was indicated on the drawings and does not run were it was expected.  The roof has been striped and the engineer has inspected the timbers, the new frame as designed by the engineer has been built and the roof has been tiled and the scaffold removed.  The existing building needed to be underpinned, the engineer has been to site and his instructions carried out, the reinforcement mesh has been laid and the concrete poured, the next step is block work. The block work has been built and the carpenters have completed the flat roof and the upstairs timber framed bathroom. Both of the flat roofs have been sealed. Corsham building plastics have fitted the windows and the bi-fold patio doors and we have fitted the Susquare roof lights in both extensions. The internal stud walling has been completed 1st fix electrics and plumbing are finished as is the plastering, the tilers and the painters are making progress and 2nd fix plumbing should be completed early next week once the kitchen arrives. The project is now finished and the clients have been back in for a couple of months.
